Rest in peace.

Marcus Allen Kuranda

06/28/98-04/27/08

Marcus Allen Kuranda, my Golden Retriever and best friend, was put down last night. He stopped eating on Friday, and threw up blood Sunday evening after trying to drink some water. Just earlier in the day he showed his giant heart was still well by playing ball and getting up when I asked 'wanna go for a ride?"

Marcus laid around all weekend, and I knew it was time. He started having trouble walking and going upstairs recently. He was also diagnosed with cancer in early March.

Marcus I will truly miss you. You came to work with me, were my running partner and just the best companion a guy could have or ask for. You were my lucky charm, and symbol of my success.

Jackson, Lucy, Mommy and myself, will miss you dearly. We will spread your ashes around the trees in our back yard in Valley forge, where you used to run ,play ball and steal hotdogs at picnics!

You were truly the best pal in the world Marcus, and we will meet up again some day. ILY forever.

BYE buddy....

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.  When an animal dies who has been especially close to someone here, the pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the rainbow bridge together
